My eyes slowly pulled open to a dark room. Unaware of any of my surroundings I move slowly and hands reaching a small railing on either side of me. I begin to try and sit up only to be pulled back into place by restraints. Restraints?! I didn't know where I was.... or as a matter of fact what was going on I could hear nothing but the sounds of my fingers prying at the restraints to free myself. Finally the restraints came undone and I could sit up. My stomach instantly knotted up and I leaned over and threw up all over the tile. At least my eyes were adjusting to the darkness that still surrounded me. I was okay, I sat there trying to remember what had happened and why I was in what I could now tell was a hospital room. running in the shadows of pathways, never stepping into clearings
because I’ve spent my whole life in the wilderness
and I still can’t tell the wolves from the woodsmen.
